iPerceptions Appoints Claude Guay as President & CEO to Manage Next Phase of Growth

Online pioneer and veteran company and solution builder brings 25 years of executive experience to rapidly growing Voice of Customer analytics leader

New York, NY – May 19, 2009 – iPerceptions Inc. (TSX.V:IPE), a leading provider of web-focused Voice of Customer analytics, today announced that it has appointed Claude Guay as President and CEO. A 25-year veteran of IBM, Accovia, Gildan Activewear and PhoCusWright, Guay brings C-level experience in creating and executing high impact growth strategies that result in rapid market expansion and mainstream adoption of emerging technologies. In his new role as CEO of iPerceptions, Guay will set the company’s overall strategic direction and identify new opportunities to bring Voice of Customer analytics to companies around the globe. Jerry Tarasofsky, founder and former CEO, will remain active in iPerceptions’ business operations as the company’s Chief Evangelist.

Tarasofsky founded iPerceptions in 2000 to help companies improve and optimize websites by tapping into the feedback of real customers in the context of actual online experiences. Guay joins iPerceptions from PhoCusWright where he provided actionable intelligence and strategic consulting to companies in the travel and tourism industry. Guay previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Gildan Activewear, a global apparel manufacturer listed on the NYSE and TSX. During his two-year tenure, Gildan Activewear grew from $773 million to $1.25 billion in annual sales. Guay also founded and served as CEO of MTI Services, a management consulting services firm.

Between 2000 and 2005, Guay served as President and CEO of international travel packaging solution company Accovia, where he drove the successful and complete image makeover, introduced new strategic solutions and premier customers, and led the sale of the company. Prior to his CEO role at Accovia, Guay worked in business development, marketing and sales roles for 16 years at IBM, most recently as an executive in the company’s Global Travel and Transportation Industry unit, where he focused on leveraging new digital technologies to provide significant market and corporate benefits.

A widely recognized and often quoted expert in travel-related ecommerce and technology publications, Guay has served as a speaker at many travel industry conferences, including Online Revealed, PhoCusWright, ResExpo, TravelCom, marcus evans, Travel Industry Association of Canada and multiple IATA events.
